The Investment Breakdown
The investment agreement proposed by Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, consists of INR 2 crore in debt with a 10% interest rate that must be paid back over five years and INR 1 crore for a 1% ownership position. Shark Kunal Bahl, who was also eager to invest, gave the business the same valuation of INR 100 crore. But the founders decided to go with Namita’s offer since they thought her idea fit in better with their long-term expansion plan.
The Bear House: A Brand on the Rise
Founded in 2017 as a passion project, The Bear House has evolved into a leading menswear brand, combining European-inspired designs with high-quality craftsmanship. Known for its minimalistic, smart casuals tailored for hybrid work cultures, the brand has carved a niche in the Indian fashion landscape. It offers a range of products, including shirts, t-shirts, polos, bottoms, blazers, accessories, and footwear, with a strong focus on versatility and style.
A Rapidly Growing Business
The Bear House’s net sales is currently expected to surpass INR 140 crore this year, continuing its remarkable 40%+ YoY growth. The brand has been dominating the casual shirts market thanks to its strong presence on online marketplaces like Myntra, Flipkart, Amazon, Ajio, Tata Cliq, and Nykaa. High-quality clothing is now more accessible than ever thanks to its expansion through hyperlocal quick-commerce platforms like Zepto.
The Power of Shark Tank India
Appearing on Shark Tank India provided The Bear House with not just funding but also immense exposure. “Being on Shark Tank and earning the trust and support of the judges is a pivotal moment for The Bear House team! This investment validates our vision—giving Indian men the freedom to express their unique selves through our clothes, no matter where they go or what they do,” said co-founder Tanvi Somaiya.
Offline Expansion Plans
While the brand has built a formidable online presence, it is now aggressively expanding offline. Having established stores in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, The Bear House is gearing up to enter Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai soon. It operates through Broadway, a D2C multi-brand store, and recently opened its first exclusive brand outlet (EBO) in Bhartiya Mall, Bengaluru. Over the next year, multiple EBOs are in the pipeline to strengthen the brand’s foothold in the retail sector.
The Sharks’ Perspective
The Sharks gave the Bear House a lot of positive reviews; Aman Gupta even called the company “too good to be true.” The founders’ tenacity and dedication to their goal especially struck Namita Thapar. “Although your story seems too good to be true, it’s actually your reality. You’ve overcome obstacles and come out stronger, smiling, and with your integrity untarnished. As she closed the deal, she remarked, “That perseverance makes me want to believe in you.”

The Road Ahead
After securing the financing, The Bear House intends to use the money for product development, effective marketing campaigns, and online and offline growth. The firm hopes to strengthen its standing in the high-end menswear market by taking advantage of Shark Tank India’s publicity.
The brand’s fundamental idea—producing fashionable, high-quality clothing that enables Indian men to “Go Everywhere, Do Everything”—remains constant as it looks to the future. The Bear House is well on its way to become a household name in the Indian fashion sector because to a clear concept and strong encouragement from Shark Tank India.
